The owner will be responsible for any costs which might be incurred, either veterinary or other, as a result of any sickness, accident or damage caused to, or by, the owners pet(s), pet insurance is strongly recommended.

The owner must provide an emergency contact so that in unforeseen circumstances or an emergency, this contact can take over the care of their pet. 

The owner must inform Pricey’s paws if their pet has or has had any illness since making the booking. A pet with an infectious condition cannot be accepted.

In the extremely unlikely event that an owners pet passes away whilst in the care of Pricey’s paws, they will contact their emergency contact immediately and follow their wishes.  Pricey’s paws accepts no liability if these unfortunate circumstances occur.  

For all services, except dog walking bookings, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the booking and the balance payable on or before the day of drop off. Payment can be paid by cash, direct bank transfer or PayPal. If a deposit is not paid then dates will not be held. 

Services will not be carried out on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Day.

Pricey’s paws may take photographs of your pets for advertising/promotional purposes.  If you have any objection to this, please let Pricey’s paws know and your wishes will be respected.

Please be assured that Pricey’s paws consists of just Sophie therefore, the only person going into your home will be myself and baby for check in only. 

There is a baby at the property of Pricey’s paws, so your pet MUST be good around children or the pet will be refused. 

Dog Walking

Dogs will be exercised on lead at all times unless a permission form is signed in advance. 

The owner must ensure that all leads, collars and harnesses are in good condition and fit correctly.  Pricey’s paws accepts no responsibility for any accident due to these items being faulty. 

Owners are required to pay weekly in advance. Arrangements can also be made to pay monthly. 

Owners must give one week notice if walks are no longer required or want to be reduced. If for any reason a walk is not required on a particular day, a minimum notice period of  24 hours must be given, otherwise the full amount will be charged. 

During extreme weather conditions, Pricey’s paws may, shorten a dog-walking session to avoid any discomfort/danger to the dog(s) in their care or to avoid any danger to themselves.

Owners must declare any aggressive tendencies the dog may have or any behavioural problems before the contract is signed. Pricey’s paws reserves the right to cancel the contract at any time and with immediate effect if the dog does not respond well to them, other dogs or the baby.

Bitches in season will not be walked but, check in’s will be offered. 

Check in’s

Check in’s will only commence when deposits have been received. 

Owners will not hold Pricey’s paws liable for any injury, disappearance or death of any pet that has access outdoors, eg via a cat flap/window etc.

Pricey’s paws highly recommends that all pets are microchipped and vaccinated against the relevant illnesses and parasites where appropriate and possible. With regard to rabbit and guinea pig care, necessary precautions should be taken against flystrike, as advised by a vet, before the visiting service commences. 

Daycare or overnight stays

Daycare or overnight stay dates will be held only when 50% deposit has been received. 

Daycare is for 9 hours, if the full amount of time is not used you will still be charged for the full 9 hours. The times needed can be flexible to you however, day time hours only. Should the stay be extended for any reason, extra days will be charged at the daily rate. 

Overnight stays is for 12 hours if the full amount of time is not used you will still be charged for the full 12 hours. The times needed can be flexible to you. Should the stay be extended for any reason, extra days will be charged at the daily rate. 

All outstanding fees must be paid in full on or before the drop off day. If full payment is not received 1 hour before the drop off time, then Pricey’s paws reserves the right to cancel the booking without refund.

All pets must be fully vaccinated and a copy of the current certificate of vaccination must accompany each pet at drop off. All pets should also be wormed and be treated for fleas on a regular basis.  

No dogs registered under the Dangerous Dog Act will be accepted for daycare or overnight stays.

The client is required to provide all necessary food and items such as bedding, grooming tools, toys, treats etc to ensure that their pet is provided for.  If, for any reason, additional supplies are required, these will be paid for by the owner on their return. 

Please note that we reserve the right to place your pet into secure external kennels if your pet becomes destructive or aggressive.  External kennelling will incur extra costs, with transportation fees also incurred all of which is to be paid by owner. 

Any pet not collected within 7 days of the agreed date of collection may be sold or given to RSPCA. 

A maximum of 2 dogs will be in Pricey’s paws care for daycare and overnight stays. 

In the unlikely event of your pet dying whilst in the care of Pricey’s paws your pet will be in cold storage at a local veterinary centre until your return. Pricey’s paws will inform you of the death of your pet (where possible) whilst you are away, but if you would like different arrangements to be made in this unlikely event please inform us in writing prior to bringing your pet for daycare or overnight stays. This cost will be incurred by the Owner.
